I have been working in education for six years. I graduated from Charles University and am currently continuing my studies of English at Masaryk University. I spent most of my practice in the 2nd grade, but working with younger children has always appealed to me - today I teach both grades and I enjoy both. Younger children entertain me with their sincerity and curiosity, older ones are great discussion partners. In teaching, I want to awaken in children a natural desire to discover, support their self-confidence and develop their potential. I approach each child individually and with patience. I have a two-year-old son, so the world of children accompanies me at home. In my free time, I like to read and educate myself. The greatest reward for me is watching children grow and learn.

I have loved reading, writing and working with children since childhood. Since childhood, I have enjoyed working with children, which is why I decided to study English at the Metropolitan University. I completed part of my studies at the University of Limerick in Ireland, where I gained valuable language practice. I am currently completing my education in special education at the Technical University of Liberec. I worked as a dance coach for seven years, which gave me a solid foundation in motivating children and guiding them towards their goals. Vystudovala jsem bakalářský obor Galerijní a muzejní edukace na Pedagogické fakultě UK a navazující magisterský obor Výtvarná výchova pro druhý a třetí stupeň. V současnosti pokračuji ve studiu magisterského programu Učitelství anglického jazyka pro druhý a třetí stupeň na téže fakultě. Zkušenosti jsem získala také během zahraničních stáží Erasmus na Pedagogische Hochschule Karlsruhe a Instituto Politécnico Lisboa. Na ZŠ Baltimore vyučuji výtvarnou výchovu, anglický a španělský jazyk. Ve školství působím čtvrtým rokem. Ve své práci se snažím vytvářet pozitivní atmosféru a otevřenou komunikaci, učím zábavnou formou a využívám moderní přístupy i technologie. Důležitou součástí mých hodin je reflexivní dialog a rozvoj sebereflexe žáků.

I studied Czech and English at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and have been working in education since 2009. I also gained experience as a summer camp and English camp leader. I am constantly educating myself – I participate in seminars and training courses (e.g. NPI, Taktik, Eduall), I follow modern trends and in my teaching I combine meaningful elements of traditional teaching with the RWCT methodology. At Baltimore Elementary School, I find harmony with the school's vision and appreciate the possibility of an individual approach thanks to smaller classes. I support children in not being afraid of mistakes, experiencing success, knowing how to ask questions and providing feedback. After studying production at DAMU and more than a decade of musical career abroad, I gradually switched to teaching - first as a voice consultant, later as a teacher. I come from a family of teachers and working with children in education began to make more and more sense to me. Již více než 30 let se věnuji práci ve školství, která byla odjakživa mým snem. V průběhu své kariéry jsem měla možnost působit v různých rolích, z toho 14 let ve funkci ředitelky základní školy. Práce s dětmi, učiteli i rodiči mě neustále naplňuje, protože školu vnímám jako místo, kde se tvoří nejen znalosti, ale i hodnoty a vztahy, které si člověk nese celý život. Ve škole Baltimore jsem znovu našla to, co jsem zažívala na malotřídních školách, tedy obrovskou snahu a zájem všech o podporu všestranného rozvoje dětské osobnosti. I am an English teacher with over ten years of experience in teaching and researching effective language teaching methods. I started with adult students, but gradually I became more and more attracted to working with children, which fills me with its energy, immediacy and openness. In teaching, it is key for me to pass on the right habits to children and teach them how to learn. Originally from the Czech Republic, Jan Klika moved to the United States in 1968 at the age of 8. He grew up in Maryland, where he later earned a degree in mathematics and went on to work for NASA in the 1990s, developing advanced algorithms. In 1997, Jan returned to the Czech Republic with his wife and five sons. He brings not only a deep love of mathematics but also a passion for helping students understand how to think mathematically—beyond just solving problems, he inspires curiosity, logic, and a joy for learning.

At school, I represent colleagues when needed – in classes, during lessons and during school activities. I enjoy the diversity of this work and the opportunity to get to know different children and teaching approaches. In every situation, I try to approach children with respect, patience and a smile. I am happy to be part of an environment where children feel safe and have a desire to learn.

I teach financial literacy because I know how important it is to understand the world of money—and how much it can make life easier. After grammar school, I studied public administration with a focus on public finance. I then spent nearly 23 years in banking, working in various roles from sales to private and investment banking, and eventually as a product manager in mortgage lending, where I spent 17 years. I hold an investment banker certification and accreditation from the Czech National Bank. In my professional career, I also taught financial education to adults. Today, I aim to introduce children to the world of money in a way they can understand—so they’re not afraid of it and learn to handle it wisely from an early age.

After graduating from secondary pedagogical school, majoring in Education, I worked as a kindergarten teacher for a total of 19 years. Then I started working at a state school, where I worked for eight years in a after-school care center. During my teaching career, I have completed countless training courses in the field of child psychology and pedagogy, and I also have a paramedic course. Now I have been working in our private school in Baltimore for the second year as a after-school care center teacher. I have four children myself, and my work is not a job for me, but a lifelong hobby that I will never stop enjoying, because I know no better sound in life than children's laughter.

I have been working in education with breaks since my studies, but I have also been involved in the hospitality business. Working with children has always charged me up - as has sports, which have accompanied me my whole life and give me the energy I need. I have worked as a teacher in a children's home, a 1st grade teacher, in a kindergarten and in the private sector. Today I work in the after-school care center of Baltimore Elementary School and occasionally lead internships for students of the Secondary Educational Service School in Beroun. Being part of a school with a quality teaching team and an open approach is another valuable stage for me, in which I can put my experience and enthusiasm to good use.

I have a high school education with a high school diploma and worked as an accountant in a corporate environment for almost thirty years. I was brought to Baltimore Elementary School by a desire for change – I wanted to work in a friendly team and closer to people. Here I found not only a great team, but also daily contact with children, which makes me happy and fulfilled. I like to help, listen and explain. Working with numbers and people makes sense to me – and here it connects beautifully.

I’ve been involved in sports since childhood, and today, in addition to handling operational matters, I also lead movement classes for school-age children. When I was offered the opportunity to join the ZŠ Baltimore team, I didn’t hesitate — working with children is fulfilling for me, and I enjoy the variety this role offers. Every day is different and full of color, just like the world of children, which I navigate with respect, joy, and a willingness to support each child on their journey.

I work as an educational consultant and personal development mentor at school. I help children develop self-confidence, emotional intelligence and healthy relationships - not only with others, but also with themselves. I believe that every child carries a unique potential that can be fully developed if they have trust, support and a safe space around them. V současnosti dokončuji bakalářské studium na Vysoké škole tělovýchovy a sportu Palestra. Vystudovala jsem také taneční konzervatoř a tanci samotnému se věnuji již 17 let. Čtvrtým rokem pracuji jako lektorka v taneční škole. Práce s dětmi mě velmi naplňuje - snažím se v nich podporovat individualitu, tvořivost a radost z pohybu. V blízké době si plánuji doplnit své vzdělání v oblasti pedagogiky. Snažím se dětem vytvořit bezpečné a podnětné prostředí plné respektu a prostor pro získání nejen vědomostí, ale také prostor pro rozvoj osobnosti.

V roce 2018 jsem absolvovala bakalářský obor Poradenství v odborném vzdělávání na České zemědělské univerzitě a nastoupila do školství. Sbírala jsem praktické zkušenosti na pozicích vychovatelky, asistentky pedagoga, vedoucí kroužků, vyučující až jsem se v roce 2022 chopila role školního speciálního pedagoga. Ve stejném období jsem absolvovala bakalářský (Technická univerzita Liberec) i magisterský stupeň ve speciální pedagogice se zaměřením na osoby s vadami řeči (Slezská univerzita v Opavě). Speciální pedagogika je pro mne fantastickým oborem, který otevírá dveře tam, kde by jinak zůstaly zavřené. Ráda poskytuji oporu dětem se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, jejich učitelům, dalším pedagogickým pracovníkům a zejména také rodičům. Dětem, které mám svěřené v péči, se věnuji přesně tak, jak bych chtěla, aby se někdo věnoval mé dceři, tj. s laskavostí, důvěrou a porozuměním, s nimiž přicházejí i pokroky v dovednostech. Se ZŠ Baltimore spolupracuji, protože považuji rozšířené jazykové vzdělávání společně s finanční gramotností za skvělý start do života.

Jako asistentka pedagoga působím v ZŠ Baltimore již třetím rokem a svou práci beru jako velké poslání. Práce ve školství je pro mě srdcová záležitost, možná i díky tomu, že pocházím z učitelské rodiny. Baví mě být dětem oporou, pomáhat jim překonávat překážky v učení i každodenních situacích a vidět, jak dělají pokroky.

Jmenuji se Maruška a pracuji jako asistentka pedagoga na druhém stupni. Na dětech mám nejradši jejich bezprostřednost, smysl pro humor a schopnost překvapit – díky nim se nikdy nenudím a každý den je úplně jiný. Celý život mě baví počítače – vždycky jsem se o nich chtěl učit, trávil jsem na nich spoustu času a pak mě začaly živit. V jednu chvíli jsem si ale řekl, že už nechci být od rána do večera jenom za obrazovkou, ale i mezi lidmi. Učím informatiku, matematiku a vedu kroužky robotiky a programování. Na pozici asistenta pedagoga pracuji sedmým rokem. Již od mládí mě bavila práce s dětmi. Jezdila jsem nejprve jako praktikantka, poté jako vedoucí na dětské letní tábory. Práce asistenta pedagoga mě velmi baví, protože mohu být oporou dětem, které potřebují více podpory a mohu jim pomáhat objevovat jejich schopnosti i talent. Velkou radost mi přináší chvíle, kdy dítě zvládne něco, co si dříve myslelo, že nedokáže. Každý den je jiný, přináší nové zkušenosti a situace jak pro děti, tak pro nás dospělé. Práce asistenta pedagoga mi umožňuje podílet se na vytváření přátelské a podpůrné atmosféry ve třídě, kde se každý může cítit dobře. Celkově mi tato práce přináší radost a naplnění z toho, že dělám něco užitečného pro druhé.

Hned po dostudování pedagogického lycea jsem začala pracovat na základní škole na maloměstě. Už po pár týdnech jsem věděla, že je to to, čemu se chci věnovat a že mě práce s dětmi naplňuje. Vedla jsem tam své vlastní oddělení v družině. Zároveň jsem sbírala zkušenosti i jako asistentka pedagoga na 1. a 2. stupni. Každé dítě je jedinečné a má svoji energii. Proto mě práce ve školství baví, protože je rozmanitá a kreativní.

Vystudoval jsem obor Výživa a potraviny na České zemědělské univerzitě v Praze. Celý život jsem aktivní sportovec, 23 let jsem hrál lední hokej na profesionální i poloprofesionální úrovni a několikrát jsem reprezentoval Českou republiku v mládežnických výběrech. Během studia jsem zároveň reprezentoval univerzitu v ledním hokeji, což mi umožnilo propojit vzdělání s pohybem. Aktuálně si doplňuji vzdělání v oblasti pohybové přípravy a dokončuji kurz na osobního trenéra. Mojí vizí je propojovat pohyb a výživu tak, aby lidé mohli žít zdravější a vyváženější život. Věřím, že správné návyky se nejlépe budují už od dětství, a proto mě baví pracovat s mladými lidmi a inspirovat je k aktivnímu životu.

Jako teenager jsem snila o tom, že se jednou stanu učitelkou angličtiny a založím si svou vlastní jazykovou školu. Vždy mě moc mrzelo, jakým způsobem se angličtina vyučovala – neefektivně a nerozvíjela se komunikační dovednost, proto jsem chtěla angličtinu vyučovat jinak.Za svým snem jsem si šla již od svých 14 let a v 17 letech jsem potkala svého budoucího manžela pocházející z amerického města Baltimore, což mi pomohlo získat velmi kladný vztah k americké angličtině a kultuře. Anglický jazyk se stal součástí mého života.V roce 2009 jsem zahájila studium anglického jazyka na Karlově univerzitě a začala jsem se svou lektorskou praxí. V roce 2018 jsem založila jazykovou školu v Berouně, která vyučuje anglický jazyk.Kvalitní výuku a osobní přístup je to, co chci nabídnout dál, a to i Vašim dětem, proto jsme se rozhodli založit se svým mužem tuto novou česko-americkou školu.Naše škola si zakládá na otevřeném myšlení a naslouchání potřeb všech dětí, tak abychom mohli rozvinout co nejlépe jejich silné stránky.
